Mr Bernasconi has retired from the Board after 16 years of service which included the Presidency from 1991 to 1996. On behalf of the membership, the Board of Directors would like to thank Mr Bernasconi for his invaluable service to the Federation during his time of office.
Collaborative Research on Melt Quality

There is a possible opportunity for members to join a UK DTI supported activity to investigate the relationship between melt quality and foundry performance. This work will follow the extensive research completed under the COST 50 programme which investigated the relationship between gas content and porosity in nickel base alloys.
