New President and Vice President Elected

Thursday 27th May 2004

Mr Nevill Swanson has retired as President after his 2 year term of office.

Mr Werner Blank of Blank Feinguss GmbH was elected President at the EICF AGM held 24th May 2004

Dr Carlos Olabe of PCB S.A. was elected Vice President also at the AGM.

The Board and members expressed their thanks to Mr Swanson for his valuable contibution to the Federation during his term of office

Workshop CD now available

The papers presented at the Dusseldorf workshop on the 26th March 2004 are now available from the secretary.
The papers cover wax and shell chemistry and best practice pattern making, shell making and dewax practice.
Price £10 (€17) for workshop registrants or £75 (€100) for non attendees.

Automated Slurry Control

A proposal is in preparation to apply for E.U. funds to develop automated slurry control systems.

The Spanish technology centre INASMET are inviting European SMEs to join a funded consortium to develop this technology.
